» In an Absolut world, the perfect stage for brands, industry and bartenders is Bar Convent Berlin!«
Marc Kerger, Brand Ambassador Absolut, Pernod Ricard Deutschland GmbH
The Bar Convent Berlin is the most important annual event for the German bar industry. Conceived as a genuine trade event, the Bar Convent offers the ideal platform to effectively propagate your brand and directly access the right target group. The BCB is the meeting place for leading bar managers and bartenders: it is where all the leading decision-makers and exponents of the bar industry get together, discuss, and exchange ideas. Now in its third year, the Bar Convent is expecting to host over 3000 visitors in 2009.
In order to serve the diverse needs of our partners and exhibitors, the Bar Convent is offering a variety of ways to participate. One way is to rent a stand space in the Main Hall on the first floor of the Postbahnhof. The minimum size of the exhibitor modules in the Main Hall is 3 x 3 metres. The square-metre price and the maintenance costs can be found in the sales kit – which is available for download on this page.
» Bar Convent Berlin hosted by Mixology sets new industry standards: Created by and for bartenders who mix and enjoy spirits with fun and gusto – it is packaged in a professional, well-rounded concept, and is a totally unique experience. «

The Distillers' Area is located in the middle of the Main Hall. This newly-introduced feature of the Bar Convent consists of 25 smaller modules and is the ideal package for single brands and launch products. The distillers' modules consist of a 2-metre-wide bar counter, and two-meter-wide backbar. All bar elements will be assembled by the Bar Convent. The only things the exhibitor needs to bring are his products and staff to present them. Everything else will be taken care of by the BCB. The Distillers' Area is based on the "1 stand – 1 brand" principle. On each stand, a maximum of one spirits or drinks brand may be presented. Prices and details for this package can be found in the Sales Kit, which is available for download at the bottom of this page.
At the Bar Convent Berlin 2009 we will be introducing a brand new programme element for the first time: the Distillers' Talk in the centre of the exhibition hall. On this stage, exhibitors at the BCB will have the opportunity to participate in discussions and tastings with their representatives, master distillers or brand ambassadors. The Distillers' Talk is a further platform for brands exhibiting at the BCB to engage in an exchange with the audience of professionals at this trade event.
The Taste Forum offers visitors to the Bar Convent Berlin the chance to enjoy blind taste tests of spirits of almost every type under professional guidance. Spirits experts such as chemists Dave Broom and Jürgen Deibel will lead a guided tour through the world of rum, gin, vodka, whisky or brandy. Exhibitors and partners of the Bar Convent will have the opportunity to submit their product in order to have it presented to a broader public.
The BCB Shop was first introduced at the Bar Convent in 2008, primarily to serve the many visitors who wanted to purchase products that are otherwise difficult to find in normal sales outlets. Companies that are active as sponsors or exhibitors at the Bar Convent Berlin can place their products in the shop for on-site sale.
» Anyone who is aiming to reach the most demanding target group in a highly professional environment cannot afford to miss the Bar Convent Berlin.«
Marc Kerger, Brand Ambassador Absolut, Pernod Ricard Deutschland GmbH
The Demonstration Bar, which was first integrated as a BCB programme event in 2008, will now take place in its own hall and has thus expanded considerably. Around 150 spectators are able to listen to talks given by well-established companies. The Demonstration Bar can be booked by the hour for cocktail presentations or brand seminars. The platform has in the past hosted brand representatives from Tanqueray, Sierra Milenario, Bols and Hendrick's gin. The prices for slots in the Demonstration Bar can be found in the Sales Kit, available for download on this page.
Every year during the Bar Convent Berlin, Germany's capital plays host to a multitude of barflys from all over the world. To help visitors find their way to Berlin's bars and pubs in the evening, the Bar Convent provides an annual guide with information on selected bars and the various city districts. With the help of our guide and the integrated street map, BCB visitors can embark on diverse liquid tours. Please contact us if you would like to have your brand included in the Berlin Bar Guide.
