The BCB will go digital this year, but bars all over the world can organise a BCB Live-Tasting for their guests and thus become part of the BCB as Virtual Tasting Hubs. Guests can enjoy a live experience in a small setting and the bars can offer a unique event.
BCB has worked with its friends at the WSET to create some funky tasting sessions (for example "Who put this banana in my bottle?", "Smoke & Strong Water" and "Sweet Vs Dry - Words Matter" among others) using cool but fairly widely available products.
The BCB team will provide the video content and any support/promotion materials, shopping list of the products in advance and tasting mats to print. The bar then makes sure they have the required samples, sells tickets (keeping all revenue) to their guests and then they show the session how and when they want.
With the approach of letting bars around the globe become a host, BCB is reaching out to the community in many different countries and try to support local bars at the same time.
The number of bars in each city or region is strictly controlled, so that the bars can offer an exclusive event.
