Craig Harper grew up in and around a pub in Scotland, and except for a brief spell in the Commandos, has been in bar industry ever since. Twice named bartender of year, began working with spirit brands such as Bacardi and Martin Millers, before landing his dream job with Fever-Tree 2012, where he gets to talk about and drink as much gin & tonics as he pleases.
Craig: “My parents ran a pub in Inverness when I was growing up which I worked in and even when I ran away to join Marines, I still worked in my local during leave. After I left the Forces I tried lots of “proper jobs” but always worked in a bar part time for fun, until I realised in my late 20’s the bar industry could be my “proper job” too. I’ve been a glass collector, bouncer, waiter, bartender, manager, consultant, educator & sales rep, and loved them all. Won a few comps, was bartender of the year twice (long, long ago in magazines that no longer exist), am a WSET scholar and have won Imbibe’s Old Fart Ultimate Cocktail Comp. Famous for loving blue drinks and swearing spectacularly.”
