In the last ten years, social media has revolutionised the way in which the global bartending community communicates, educates and markets itself. This talk brings together three crucial strands of our relationship with social media in the current Golden Age of the cocktail: Cultivating a personal brand; Marketing your bar; Building a content platform. There are few better-qualified people to investigate these topics than our panelists - Edmund Weil’s bars have some of the best-followed and curated social media accounts on the global bar scene, and together Danil Nevsky and Eddie Rudzinskas have built a following of over 1 million on their Cocktail For You Facebook page whilst developing a strong personal brands alongside it. In this talk, the panelists will explore each of the topics in depth, with a wealth of advice and tips on how to maximise impact on social media, as well as avoiding some of the common pitfalls that can make your social media presence counterproductive. They will also look at the relationship between personal and business brand-building - how the two are necessarily intertwined, and where to draw the boundaries.
