The bar community will be looking to Berlin this October when the BCB will once again bring the most important producers, hottest brands, bar operators and bartenders from around the world to the German capital. Some 14,000 expected visitors, more than 1,200 brands and over 400 exhibitors from about 40 countries as well as numerous bar events will turn Berlin into the metropolis for bar culture for three days.

This is where the creative brewery community meets bar owners, restaurateurs and bartenders: Brew Berlin stands for new beers, local and international breweries, and endless expert know-how on product selection and the craft. As a part of the Bar Convent Berlin, the trade show will take place at Station Berlin from 8 to 10 October. Here, restaurateurs will find out how the new diversity of beers can become the USP for their business and what they should consider when putting together their selection. More than just being optimally embedded in Europe’s leading trade show of the bar and spirits industry, Brew Berlin is also at home in Berlin, in the midst of an up-and-coming environment of new breweries and beer bars.

From brewed coffee to espresso to coffee cocktails – the Bar Convent Berlin 2018 presents the theme of “Coffee in Bars” in all its diverse glory. From 8 to 10 October, Europe’s leading industry event for bartenders and the international beverage industry will reserve a dedicated exhibition area just for the little black bean – the Coffee Convent Berlin. And one thing’s becoming clear already: nitro and cold brew are the top trends of 2018.

Among others, Nick Strangeway, Micah Melton, Joe Schofield, Bobby Heugel and Frankie Solarik are expected to attend the premium trade show of the bar and beverage industry. Taking place from 8 to 10 October – for the first time as a three-day event this year – the BCB will feature presentations on creativity, modern bartending and common challenges bartenders face every day.

The Bar Convent Berlin will expand its international activities in 2019, adding its first-ever event in Brazil. On 17 and 18 June, international spirits brands and industry experts will meet local bar owners and bartenders in this sophisticated and specialised market, which thus far lacks a central B2B meeting place for the bar and spirits industry. The Bar Convent São Paulo is hosted jointly by trade show organiser Reed Exhibitions Alcantara Machado in Brazil and Reed Exhibitions Deutschland, the organiser of the Bar Convent in Berlin.

One of the most anticipated trade shows, Bar Convent Brooklyn, made its successful U.S. debut at the Brooklyn Expo Center this June. Bar Convent Brooklyn, an extension of Bar Convent Berlin, saw over 3,100 attendees from across the world and beverage industry come through the doors during June 12-13, 2018 at the Brooklyn Expo Center.

BCB 2018 places Italy centrestage: Guest country presents itself with a passion for the region and nature
Italy, home to a tradition-rich spirits industry and counting among Europe’s largest producers, is this year’s guest country at Bar Convent Berlin. Numerous major brands will be present here at the most important event for bartenders and the spirits and beverage industry across Europe. Centrestage will be the Italian pavilion where smaller companies will showcase their varied and sustainable spirits. Bar Convent Berlin will run for three days this year for the first time. 8 to 10 October will see the “Who’s Who” of the sector meet at Station Berlin and the adjacent Kühlhaus.
