At the Bergbrennerei Löwen we create finest products for unique enjoyment.
These include the special gin varieties which we produce from the best raw materials.
The best raw materials from the local region, such as roots, mountain herbs, flowers and, of course, juniper, are the basic ingredients for our gin varieties. For this, we put the individual components in high-quality alcohol and give them enough time to unfold their aromas.
Refined with various botanicals, we then distil the preparation in the classical fine distillation procedure.
The current gin range of the Bergbrennerei Löwen consists of four fine varieties: the classical Dry Gin, the flowery-soft Green Gin, the Wood Gin, stored in oak casks, and the Leo Nobile, our Special Edition with refined saffron.
Each variety has its very own character with a multi-faceted flavour: From the light juniper aroma of the Dry Gin to the wood notes of the Wood Gin. In their beautifully shaped blown 0.7 and 0.35 l bottles, their flavour will not remain the only perfect highlight
The art of the unique - it is in the perfection of nature. The art of flavour, however, is in our hands. Elderberry blossoms, Alpine herbs, mountain roots - composed with a fresh, light juniper aroma, with spicy facets and a tender scent of oranges: It's a doubly distilled gin after gentle distillation and degusted at the highest level.
Green Gin with its soft, flowery notes ensures an unmistakable flavour experience. We use fine hay flowers of the unfertilised lean meadows around the Bergbrennerei Löwen. They are put in high-quality alcohol and given enough time to unfold their full aroma. Only then will we distil them – gently, with the fine distillation method. This leads to a truly extraordinary gin that you should only enjoy pure!
Production of our Wood Gin needs two things most of all: Time to mature and the right timing. Only this way can we ensure that our Lion Dry Gin will remain in the oak cask for long enough to receive its special flavour. It is stored for several months until Dry Gin has become Wood Gin. Its round, soft taste with a fine wood cask note and characteristic colour are true highlights. Best enjoy our Lion Wood Gin pure at room temperature. This way, it can best unfold its aromas.
The finest distillation art, coupled with the most valuable spice in the world, saffron: The latest golden yellow gin creation from Bergbrennerei Löwen is a unique delight that rings in a new era for gin. With a supple and almost oily aftertaste, selected botanicals and precious saffron threads, the "Leo Nobile" is a gin like no other. It is an extraordinary edition made by people who live for true, authentic distillation art.
