Honest craftsmanship meets expertise and tradition
Throughout the Occitan valleys and beyond, the name Bordiga is synonymous with the art of distillation, since 1888.
For almost 130 years, this small boutique distillery, posed between land and sea and at the doorstep of Langa, the famous wine region, in the beautiful Piedmont region of northern italy, has been famed for its Alpine Liquors, Vermouths and Amaro.
Since 1888, the offices and production are still in Via Valle Maira, the road leading to the mountains.
Bordiga’s home in the foothills of the Maritime Alps was carefully se- lected for its unique climate and fertile landscape, abundant in natural herbs bursting with fragrant, natural oils. All are at the distiller’s nger- tips, ripe for experimentation and the production of quality spirits de - ned by uniquely pure, organic flavours.
To this day, a respect of nature and tradition characterise the work of Bordiga’s master distillers, who, with each harvest, continue to hand-select the nest, freshly picked alpine herbs for their cre- ations. These craftsmen follow the original recipes laid down by Pietro Bordiga, ensuring that the same skill, passion and excellence are captured in every distillation. Even today Bordiga uses the antique - rewood copper still. Drawing on its motto “tradition is our future”, Bordiga’s refined and committed range of Fortified Wines, Liquors and Gins revolutionises familiar and classic drinks, with a deft freshness that only the Greats can achieve.
BORDIGA Gin and Vermouth is crafted in Northern Italy, with herbs from an uncontaminated territory in the South Western Maritime Alps, where the mountains and the sea meet each other. The botanicals grown here are rich of essential oils and fragrances. Bordiga uses only selected botanicals grown in this land to create his Gin with a truly unique spirit.
Bordiga’s hearth is an old copper pot distiller of 1888, which is still used for the production of the finest distillates.
Bordiga Gin Occitan Gin Occitan is probably the oldest recipe of Italian gin, produced at the beginning of 1900.
It is a very refined Gin, a prefect ingredient for all your cocktails.
Bordiga Gin Dry is one of the few Italian small batch gins.
Bordiga Gin Rosa has a extraordinary mix of flavours and fragrances born from the rough juniper berries meeting the sweetness of the queen of flowers.
Bordiga Gin Smoke is a fine variation with a smoky aftertaste.
