When BCB’s spirit tastings comes to your doorstep
BCB Pouring Digital sends Tasting Boxes to Europe
The looks, the smell and, of course, the taste: spirit tastings are all about details as everyone knows who has ever taken part in a BCB Tasting. The professional tastings will also be offered this year but as part of the virtual BCB Pouring Digital trade show from 12 to 18 October 2020. This time, however, not jointly in one place but at home and yet, together. Due to the special format of this digital edition this year will therefore see the Tasting “delivered” in the form of a box to the experts in this industry. There are various packages to choose from.
“Like our event itself spirits thrive on being experienced with our senses. This experience character as well as the global connection of our industry is achieved by us sending out BCB Tasting Boxes all across Europe, to name but one activity,” says Petra Lassahn, Director of BCB. The products can be tasted either alone or jointly during a web tasting session with the support of an expert. An Internet connection as well as glasses and/or the corresponding utensils are all that’s needed beforehand.
For those with an interest in the latest products in the sector, the Innovations Box provides a good overview. All products presented in here have been on the market for less than a year and are therefore still real newcomers. The Box contains Belvedere Heritage 176, Bombay Bramble, Fords Gin by Brown Forman and ORGANICS Viva Mate by Red Bull, to name but a few products.
Those not wanting to tie themselves down the Surprise Box is precisely the thing to opt for. It contains various products from BCB exhibitors as well as some new items. Until you open the Box the precise contents remain a secret. One detail we can give away at this stage though is that the Box will include one rum and one gin. However, the buyers of this Box are also in for some surprises such as BCB merchandising items and some novel products.
BAIJIU is one of the most frequently drunk shots in the world and has formed an integral part of Chinese culture for centuries. Reason enough to dedicate a separate box to it at the BCB Tasting. The Baijiu Box contains various brands of the same product group so that tasters can get to know versions from different manufacturers. Forming part of this selection are 'Wuliangye 39%, Wuliangchun 45%, Flamma 33%, Qinghua 30 Fenjiu (Blue Flower 30 Fenchiew), Zhuyeqing Jiu 5 （Bamboo schnapps), Jiangxiaobai P50 (Sorghum liquor—PURE series.
Your community at home
You can either do the virtual tasting on your own or – of course complying with the safety and hygiene standards – in the company of one or two friends from the community. Those wanting to participate simply need to obtain a ticket to the event first, which is available from our online Ticketshop at no charge from now on. Also in the Ticketshop you can purchase the Tasting Boxes of your choice until mid-September. The Boxes will be shipped in good time and shipping within Germany will be charged at € 20 and outside Germany at € 30. Each Box contains a product guide as well as explanations on the content. Some three weeks before the BCB Pouring Digital goes live, participants will additionally receive log-in data to pave the way for their “tele-tasting”.
