A reunion in Berlin: The Bar Convent will take place again in 2021

With an interactive programme and a sophisticated safety and hygiene concept, Bar Convent Berlin 2021 will once again bring the bar and beverage trends of tomorrow to the German capital.

From 11 to 13 October, the Berlin exhibition halls will be the venue for Europe's largest bar and beverage trade fair for the first time. After this year's "Bar Convent Berlin" (BCB), had to be restructured due to current circumstances, the focus in 2021 will be more than ever on a top-class programme, which will also be extended to side events.

Motto "City Life Spirits" focuses on gastronomic diversity and future prospects

Under the motto "City Life Spirits", the BCB shows on the one hand the cultural and social importance of bars in shaping a cityscape rich in contrasts. On the other hand, the event creates space for innovations, lectures and interactive workshops.

In addition to the content, the team around Event Director Petra Lassahn is also aware of the pandemic-related responsibility in organising a major event: "The urgently needed exchange of ideas in our industry is faced with an absolute need for protection of all visitors, exhibitors and participants," says Petra Lassahn.

High-end hygiene and safety concept

By opting for a clearly arranged stand construction and a slightly reduced number of visitors this year, the BCB is taking account of a high-end hygiene and safety concept. The approximately 200 exhibitors who have announced their attendance at the first live BCB to Corona will adapt their exhibition area accordingly. The 3G rule will apply on the entire site. Only those who have recovered, been vaccinated or tested will be admitted.

Decentralised structure with side events

To promote exchange, the BCB 2021 will work with a partly decentralised structure. Visitors can look forward to side events in different bars and locations throughout the city. A concept that in turn pays tribute to the leitmotif "City Life Spirits".

Tickets according to the "Bring a Colleague" principle

Tickets for the three-day fair will be available digitally at www.barconvent.com from the end of July. Due to the financially strained situation of many visitors, the "Bring a Colleague" principle will be applied for the first time this year: this means that one ticket gives two people access to the fair and the programme.

About the BCB

The BCB is one of the leading international trade fairs for the bar and beverage industry. Every year, the Who's Who of the German and European bar and beverage industry meets to make new contacts, find out about product innovations and receive further training in seminars.
