Welcome to 2021 - a few words from the BCB team

Bar ohne Namen

Dear friends of the BCB,

It has finally arrived: 2021 is now upon us, and with it the hope that a bit of normality will soon return. We are not out of the woods yet, but we already have a lot planned for this year.

We look forward to seeing one another again in person, raising a toast and doing business face to face. We want to bring all of you together and make our outstanding industry even stronger. That is why we are planning to hold the BCB 2021 in the heart of Berlin once again – most certainly live and in person, but with digital features as well.

From 11 to 13 October, the Bar Convent Berlin will be taking place at Berlin ExpoCenter City for the very first time. The new venue boasts the Golden Twenties in the Funkturm, the 1930s look in the exhibition hall architecture, and the charm of the 1950s in the Palais – with lots of room for original ideas and an extensive hygiene and safety concept that can be applied as required.

In 2021 the motto of Bar Convent Berlin will be ‘City Life Spirits’ as the event delivers the urban spirit directly into the exhibition halls. Every exhibition hall will be transformed into a hub of activity with hotspots and special shows. This means that you might well find yourself confronted by a ‘Späti’ late-night convenience store, enjoying a break in a French bistro, or observing the exhibition hall from a rooftop bar.

This year there will also be a particular focus on our Country of Honour, Denmark – we are looking forward to it!

Get ready to encounter the industry’s most creative minds, biggest brands and most exciting start-ups – not to mention a high-calibre presentation programme and a wealth of input and inspiration for your business.

At the same time, we also want to find ways to help you network throughout the year.  We will continue deploying our digital know-how to your benefit, and we will also be offering networking and education opportunities to those who are unable to come to Berlin in 2021. We are already working on a wide range of fascinating topics.

Today more than ever, it is essential that we stay positive and show what we are capable of. These are challenging times, but we should never lose sight of the fact that things are going to get better.

We look forward to a rewarding year with you and to seeing you all once again!
