This year, the third and last day of BCB is all about the future. Together with the Deutsche Barkeeper Union e.V. (German Bartenders Union, DBU), a special program is being created especially for trainees and young professionals. A look at the all-round carefree package for the bartenders of tomorrow.
For the first time, DBU and BCB are targeting young talent with a program created especially for them. Young talents will enjoy four tailored workshop sessions, exclusive networking opportunities and insights into successful career paths on the last BCB day (October 11th) in the Berlin exhibition halls.
The programme
With the tickets provided by BCB, the event starts at 11 a.m. at the main entrance of the fair. Over the course of the day, participants can expect four workshop sessions from bar experts. In the first session, Christian Gentemann will provide practical tips and tricks on the "1x1 of the bar craft" on the DBU Stage. Afterwards, DBU will network the newcomers in smaller groups with well-known Brand Ambassadors of major brands, guide them through the trade fair in Guided Tours and take them to the most innovative exhibitors and big names in the industry. The workshop session by Ole Buddrus will revolve around the new trend topic "Sober, curious, mindful drinking without FOMO". Practical knowledge will be provided by Betty Kupsa in her session entitled "The Story of a Bartender". The finale is provided by Ilias Kousis. “Flair Basics" is his session on the world of flair bartending - including artistic special moves for stirring and shaking.
Goodies for the start of your career
The physical well-being of the young bartenders is also taken care of. The Future Talents will receive vouchers for lunch in the BCB food court. At the end of a successful day at the trade show, the young talents will be able to celebrate together and start their careers full of energy with an exclusive goodie bag. The official certificate of DBU, BCB and BSI, which all participants will receive, will as well be helpful for a successful start.
Participation is possible from the age of 18 and without a DBU membership. Be quick! The registration takes place via e-mail: [email protected]
