Alles für den Gast 2022
This year's “Gastmesse” will become the new hotspot for the beverage industry in Austria. The BCB and the "Alles für den Gast" ("Everything for the Guest", also known as “Gastmesse”) not only share the same organizer but now also have a same thematic focus.
The "Alles für den Gast" is known as the largest trade fair for the entire catering and hotel industry in the Danube-Alpine-Adriatic region. Every year at the beginning of November thousands of hosts, trade visitors, distributors and manufacturers from around 15 countries return to Salzburg's exhibition halls to be part of the “Alles für den Gast”. A total of 40 percent of the trade visitors come from Germany. Making contacts, learning about product innovations and presenting their own offerings are at the top of the to-do lists of visitors and exhibitors. This year, for the first time, a "Beverage World" will be implemented at the "Alles für den Gast". Including master classes with the who's who of the industry.

The Beverage Industry back in the Spotlight
"Having the beverage sector represented with its own world at 'Alles für den Gast' is a logical and important step," says Exhibition Director Michael Mayerhofer. This will open up a new target group and offer huge added value for the entire trade fair, he adds. Previously known more as a side act of the fair, the beverage industry will be put in a whole new light this year. "Beverages, whether wine, beer, coffee, cocktails or anti-alcoholic, are important expressions of our culture!", Mayerhofer is convinced. Around 15 exhibitors from the industry will present themselves and their products in the new beverage world and invite interested trade visitors to informative discussions and to taste the brands.
A Room-in-Room Concept makes it possible
Dimmed lighting, relaxed background music, comfortable seating and a special lighting concept: half of the hall specially reserved for the new Beverage World with its bar atmosphere invites visitors to stay, taste and chat. The newly created area not only offers space for refreshing exhibitors, but also for a stage on which talks and many exciting masterclasses by well-known personalities of the industry will take place. "The concept of this year's Beverage World is different, well thought-out and has great potential to become a real institution in the industry," says Thomas Reicher, Head of Sales & Marketing at Amber Beverage Austria.
Exhibitors are convinced by the Concept
Exhibitors such as Mistelhain, L. Derksen & Co, who exclusively distributes the "Kyrö" brand in Austria, Amber Beverage Austria, Diageo Austria and Eckes Granini Austria are already looking forward to welcoming visitors at the Beverage World. "We were impressed by the idea, and we hope it will allow us to present ourselves as a supplier in an equally fresh way," says Manfred Grestenberger, Managing Director at Eckes Granini. After all, where can you network and conduct sales talks better than in a bar? This was exactly the thought of the organizer RX Austria & Germany. In keeping with the bar atmosphere, there will be an exclusive evening event offering further opportunities for conversation.
Learn from the Best
Not only exhibitors from the Beverage World will get the chance to enliven the stage with exciting inputs, but also some of the best-known bartenders from the scene will share their know-how in the form of masterclasses. Among them is Damir Bušić from the Liquid Diary cocktail bar in Tyrol, who was named host of the year. Or Dave Saremba, World Class Bartender of the Year from the Loretta Bar in Munich. Andreas Portz, bar chef at the Hotel Sacher Salzburg, will also share his knowledge on stage. Of course, tasting is explicitly encouraged!
