Hygiene & Safety

This year, Bar Convent Berlin will take place with comprehensive hygiene and security measures. The measures include modern guidance systems, larger areas, an adjusted number of visitors and seamless contact tracking. With this, we put your safety at the centre.

Visit Safe

The section VISIT SAFE includes all measures that guarantee that trade fair participants can move around the entire trade fair grounds safely. This includes the following comprehensive hygiene regulations:

HYGIENE AND DESINFECTION

The disinfectant dispensers in our entrances, halls, hall gangways and WC facilities and WC facilities welcome frequent use. Exposed surfaces are regularly cleaned and disinfected for you.

EYES OPEN - MOUTH AND NOSE CLOSED

For the protection of all trade fair participants, everyone at Bar Convent Berlin is required to wear mouth/nose protection with the exception of the seating areas, e.g. at the exhibition stands or in the catering. Even if you can‘t see it: We still give you a smile as a thank you.

A BREATH OF FRESH AIR FOR BUSINESS...

...and against the density of micro-organisms in the air we breathe - thanks to highly functional ventilation systems on the entire exhibition grounds and, if required, with natural air flow in the halls.

HYGIENE IN SANITARY FACILITIES

In order to control the number of users and to increase the cleaning and disinfection of toilets, handles, hand basins and water cranes, sanitary facilities are permanently manned by cleaning staff.

WE ARE DOOR OPENERS

Because we, too, can hardly wait to finally be back to business. That‘s why we leave our door systems wide open for you. Just walk in and out: through separate entrances and exits. Everything for hygiene.

Meet Safe

The section MEET SAFE includes all measures that guarantee the necessary minimum distance of 1.5 metres. This creates the framework conditions for safe business contacts to ensure the success of your trade fair participation. In detail, we ensure the minimum distance through the following regulations:

TO MAKE YOU FEEL SAFE

With adapted numbers of people and areas, distance markings, increased staff deployment, transparent dividers, signs, information boards and route guidance.

SAFE HALL LAYOUT

In compliance with all applicable hygiene and safety standards the halls, corridors and circulation areas were redesigned.

BREATHE FREELY

Thanks to the consideration of enough distance between the individual seats in the forums, you can do without your respiratory protection. But not without our exciting stage programme.

SUFFICIENT SPACE IN THE ENTRANCE AND WAITING AREA

The entrance setting is individually adapted to the BCB and maximum numbers of people have been calculated accordingly. We also calculate the minimum distance in the entrance and waiting areas.

Show Safe

SHOW SAFE covers all the measures that are taken at the stand to ensure that you can network as usual and keep appointments without endangering your own safety or that of others. This includes the following regulations:

STRUCTUAL DESIGN

As a general rule, 1 person per 4 m² of freely accessible area is allowed (area free of furniture, showcases, etc.). In the interest of safe trade fair operations, the possibility of maintaining the minimum distance of 1.5 m must also be guaranteed on the exhibition stands. More detailed information can be found in a separate document on the structural design of exhibition stands.

NETWORKING WITHOUT PHYSICAL CONTACT

Even if the joy about the reunion or the successful business deal is great – please refrain from shaking hands or physical contact.

HYGIENE

Disinfectant must be provided on each stand and surfaces must be cleaned regularly or after each business meeting.

STANDEVENTS

As a matter of principle, and especially in Corona times, we refrain from events with a party character at the stands.

Stay Safe

The measures defined under STAY SAFE ensure that crowds of people are avoided and that you are safe even at classic contact points such as in gastronomy. In addition, our customised tools offer smooth contact tracing so that a chain of infection can be traced in an emergency. In detail, this includes the following regulations:

ADMISSION: 3G

Exhibitors as well as visitors require valid proof of complete vaccination, a medical certificate of complete recovery or a 24-hour negative test ((PoC) rapid antigen test/PCR test). Only vaccines recognised in Germany are permitted. If a visitor has been vaccinated with a non-recognised vaccine, a negative test must also be presented. Testing facilities are available in the city, addresses will be provided by the BCB.

UPLOAD DIGITAL CERTIFICATES - AVOID WAITING TIMES

Vaccination or recovery certificates can be uploaded at any time in the password protected area of your ticket profile in the BCB shop for verification. DSGVO compliant proofs are checked but not stored at any time. This way you shorten your waiting time! Test certificates with QR code can only be uploaded on the same day due to the 24-h validation.

WAITING AREAS

If it gets too crowded on an exhibitor stand, we have set up explicit waiting zones for visitors. Of course, the minimum distance will be observed here as well. The seating and waiting areas are marked accordingly.

SAFETY COUNTS

That‘s why we count you: with the help of exclusively online day tickets, as well as personal registrations.

INDIVIDUAL DESIGN OF JUNCTIONS

We are aware of the intersections where queuing and increased visitor traffic can occur. There will be special arrangements for the cloakroom, entrance scanners, info counters and lifts/staircases.

TRACKING THROUGH FULL REGISTRATION

ALL PARTICIPANTS have already registered in advance via the online ticket purchase or their exhibitor pass in order to to receive their access authorisation.

TICKET SALES & REDEEMING E-VOUCHERS

Ticket sales take place exclusively online. Each ticket is assigned to one or multiple days so that we can keep track of the number of people on the grounds. The tickets are available on mobile devices and permit contactless access.

GASTRONOMY

General trade fair restaurants/catering outlets will be opened in accordance with the applicable Corona Protection Ordinance Berlin. You will find detailed information on catering at trade fair stands in a separate document.

DIGITAL OFFERS

With various digital offers, we bring our customers together not only on the exhibition grounds, but also those who cannot be on site at all. The BCB offers exhibitors and visitors a variety of opportunities for digital participation.

FIRST AID

Our medical service during the BCB: Top qualified – always with an open ear – always there for you.

SERVING OF DRINKS

The general spacing rules also apply here. Drinks can be served to visitors with the generally applicable spacing rules. All serving counters/bar counters must have a transparent divider as hygiene protection and can thus exceptionally reduce the minimum distance. If it is not possible to comply with the applicable distance regulations within the serving area, the correspondingly planned seating areas must be visited in order to consume the beverage. Seating and waiting areas are marked accordingly.

The hygiene and infection protection standards applicable at the time of the event and, in particular, the statutory and official regulations and orders applicable to the event as well as orders issued by the organiser and the local trade fair company shall be observed and complied with. The instructions shall be adapted to the local and temporal circumstances. Changes will be made if necessary in accordance with the current Corona Protection Ordinances.

Hygiene FAQs for Visitors

Yes, all exhibitors, visitors, service providers, employees, Reed Exhibitions Deutschland GmbH and other partners will receive a personalised ticket or access pass as part of the registration process. In addition, each person is required to carry a valid identification document (e.g. identity card, passport). If necessary, this can be used to compare the personalised ticket and the person.

Yes, there will be a test centre directly to the right of the entrance to the fair in front of Hall 20. The tests are subject to a fee. You can find an overview of all test centres in Berlin here.

The usual minimum distance regulations apply to persons on the exhibition stand. Accordingly, it must be ensured that a minimum distance of 1.50 m can be maintained between persons. Supplementary measures (e.g. use of screening such as Plexiglas panels at seating areas of sufficient height/width) can be taken to ensure that the distances are not exceeded.

For the protection of all trade fair participants, mouth-nose protection is compulsory for everyone at the BCB. The mouth/nose protection can be removed e.g. at exhibition stands to taste spirits, in the catering area or in the outdoor area, as long as the distance regulations to different and unrelated persons are observed.

During the assembly/dismantling phase, the general requirements of occupational health and safety apply. The usual obligations to carry out a risk assessment according to the Occupational Health and Safety Act and the general instruction obligations also apply here. General measures to be taken during assembly/dismantling include the provision of disinfectants and the obligation to wear mouth/nose protection if the minimum distances cannot be maintained during the work. In general, stand constructors are also obliged to register in advance by means of assembly and dismantling passes.

The permitted number of persons depends on the size of the stand and the individual furnishings of the stand. A blanket statement is therefore not possible and essentially depends on the freely accessible stand area (view of the stand from above) and the number of available seats. A maximum of 1 person per 4 m² of freely accessible space is allowed. Please note that suitable measures must be taken to regulate the maximum number of people on the stand.

The general hygiene regulations apply (distance regulation, mouth-nose protection). In addition, visitors and stand personnel must be provided with facilities for hand disinfection (e.g. disinfectant dispensers). We recommend cleaning particularly contact-intensive and wipeable surfaces with high frequency (e.g. after each use). Personal hygiene plays a special role here (disinfection facilities for visitors and stand personnel at the exhibition stand).

For the protection of all trade fair participants, mouth-nose protection is compulsory for everyone at the BCB. The mouth/nose protection can be removed at seating areas (e.g. at exhibition stands or in the catering area) or in the outdoor area, as long as the distance regulations to different and unrelated persons are observed.
